  • Here are the highlights and reaction as Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku beats Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in a ‘Golden Goal match’ as part of 433’s “Plan B” FIFA 20 tournament.

Representing Belgium (Lukaku, playing as FC Barcelona) and Switzerland (Xhaka, playing as Manchester City) respectively, the duo played out an entertaining first match, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Needing a ‘Golden Goal match’ decider to determine the victor, Lukaku broke out of defence and scored an incredible solo goal as Frenkie de Jong to take victory with just 25 minutes played.

Ahead of the competition, the social media outlet released a mission statement – “we will provide a much needed dose of football in a period of football drought. 32 pro players will compete against each other in FIFA 20.”

The winner will be crowned ‘champion of Europe’ with the tournament to start next week and the matches will be live streamed.
