Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the best teams to watch in the Premier League this season and have fully warranted their €273M splurge on transfers for the 2016-17 campaign.
The north London outfit, who are second only to Chelsea in the current league table, have spent the sixth highest amount on signings according to the CIES Observatory Weekly Post. However, given their position, they’ve actually overachieved, sitting four places better off in the league table.
West Bromwich Albion are the league’s chief overachievers in that regard. The Baggies spent just €89M this season, coming in with the third least expenditure and are in eighth place, boasting a +10 gap over where their spending puts them.
