England’s Kevin Pietersen and South Africa’s Dale Steyn are among the big names released by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises ahead of the auction for the 2017 season.
King XI Punjab have let go of just four players which is a little surprising considering they finished at the bottom of the table last season.
Among those released by the Mohali-based franchise are Australia’s Mitchell Johnson and South Africa’s Kyle Abbott.
