Al Ain trio Pedro Emanuel, Bandar Al Ahbabi and Khaled Essa were voted the Arabian Gulf League’s best in February after the 48-hour vote that had started on Monday concluded.
Al Ahbabi pipped his team-mate Bauyrzhan Islamkhan to win the Player of The Month Award with 40 per cent of the vote. The Kazakhstan playmaker came second with 29 per cent, while Sharjah winger Ryan Mendes’ 13 per cent put him third ahead of Khor Fakkan’s Fahd Hadeed and Al Dhafra’s Joao Pedro who rounded off the top five.
In the goalkeepers category, Al Ain’s Essa was voted February’s best ahead of Dhafra’s Khaled Al Senani, while Ajman’s Ali Al Hosani came third.
Al Ain’s clean sweep was completed by coach Emanuel who was voted manager of the month ahead of Sharjah’s Abdulaziz Al Anbari and Khor Fakkan’s Goran Tufegdzic.
The UAE Pro League will hand the winners their awards ahead of their team’s AGL match-week 18 fixtures, on Thursday.
